The family tradition of the partners of “KALCO Consulting Engineers”, with deep roots in the field of infrastructure and development project design, construction, and management, dates back over 70 years.
In the 1990s, the Company’s executives expanded their horizons by managing EU co-funded programmes in the areas of regional development (Ionian Islands Regional Operational Programme, etc.), cross-border cooperation (Interreg Greece-Albania and Greece-Italy), the primary sector (Leader, Pesca) and culture (Raphael, Marco Polo).
Their scope has since been enriched with specialised studies and projects in the fields of environmental protection (waste management, lagoon restoration, climate change mitigation), water resources management (water safety plans, water supply networks), and environmental permitting (Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic EIAs, Special Ecological Assessments).
Today, KALCO Consulting Engineers operates in Greece and across Europe (through a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation), offering high-quality specialised engineering services to both the public and private sectors in key areas such as spatial planning, energy and digital transition, and green growth.
In particular, services are provided in the fields of urban and spatial planning, environmental licensing, biodiversity conservation, climate crisis mitigation, promotion of Renewable Energy Sources and energy transition.
